I was wondering, what happens to the telecom industry as we know it when the trend continues among the people to pick up the interest for consciousness applications? Consciousness applications you might ask, what is this then again?
Consciousness as in “greater consciousness” “shared consciousness” “non local awareness”. Defining these above is hard and easy, hard as we can endlessly discuss about the exact meaning but easy as we probably will reach some common ground.
Consciousness is for me the 3rd element aside of body and mind. Body is our legs, arms, head and so forth. Mind is the thinking, worrying, pondering and so on, the cognitive process. Consciousness is the field around us of which we all are part. I suspect we have our own consciousness which has some dimension in terms of strength or reach. And then we have greater consciousness which is the sum of the individual consciousnesses.
Now what is the consequence of this? Why would that be of any’s interest? Imagine you have the power to use the “field” around you. You already do but too often without realizing or naming it as such. Examples are hunches, gut feeling, knowing someone calls just before the phone rings, predicting dreams, you name it.
Now imagine that you can control this aspect of yourself. Imagine you could say to yourself “let me know if a family member is in distress” or “how would my date react when I wear this dress”. I probably push the limits but that is me.
I see this as very well possible. I see that this has great political and societal consequences. I also see many will not like this idea. But thanks to the internet these thoughts have gained ground. These grounds have become areas of practice and instruction. People know, and know more tomorrow.
